  2. You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  3. You are undergoing Chemotherapy or Radiation treatments.
  4. You are taking prescribed medications on a daily basis including Antibiotics, Steroids or Blood Thinners.
  5. You have skin conditions such as Keloid, Skin Diseases, or issues to include Rosacea or Overly-Sensitive Skin.
  6. You have Diabetes type 1 or epilepsy.
  7. You have had eyelid surgery in the past 6 months.
  8. You have infected, Hordeolum, Stye or Chalazion around eyelid area.

Please inform your artist if you have any allergies, medical conditions, or take any medications.

A topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort before starting the procedure, followed by a liquid anesthetic which will sting or burn for a minute. The whole process is relatively painless. Some people with lower pain threshold may experience stinging or some discomfort, but most experience little to no pain.
The appointment usually takes 2-3 hours, including the numbing process and the time spent in drawing out the shape of your eyeliner.

Permanent eyeliner has the longest potential longevity of all the permanent makeup treatments. For most people, it lasts about 3 years, but it can fade much faster than that, or stay visible for up to 5 years or longer.

How long permanent eyeliner last depends on several factors: type of pigment, aftercare, your skin type, the style of the eyeliner, your lifestyle and beauty routine. Which will fade overtime, we recommend having a touch-up every 3 to 4 years.

  1. The technician will clean your eyelid with makeup remover.
  2. You and the technician will design your eyeliner shape and style and select a pigment color.
  3. A numbing cream is then applied to the area prior to your procedure.
  4. After numbing cream is applied for 10-15 minutes, the technician will start the procedure.
  5. A liquid anesthetic will be applied during the procedure to minimize your discomfort. (You will sting or burn for a minute).
  6. The technician will move back and forth over small sections of your lash line to make sure the Eyeliner line is uniform in appearance.
  7. The technician will work on one eyelid at a time until complete.

Inflammation and redness will begin shortly after the treatment as the skin is very sensitive in this area. Itching is also common. The period of time it needs to recover differs from person to person. Putting a cold sterile cloth on your eyelids will reduce the swelling. It takes about 4-5 days for the scabs to fall off. Your color will not be completely back until the 4-6 week mark.

Day 1: Eyes may vary from being slightly puffy to being swollen, heavy lids, light-sensitive, and probably bloodshot eyes. Resting in a somewhat elevated position can also decrease any extra inflammation of the eyes.

Day 1-2: Eyelids will be a bit ‘crusty’ when you wake up. The swelling will decrease through the day due to the improved blood flow to the area.

Day 2: There will be less inflammation, but your eyelids will feel tight. The eyelash area will be painful to the touch.

Day 3-4: The skin will start to form scabs in stitch-like lines. Do not pick or pull on the scabs, let them shed on their own. If you pick or pull you will pull the pigment out causing discoloration and uneven tones. Do not rub your eyes, pat them only.

Day 7-9: The shedding process should be finished. You can now gently wash your face. Your color might appear to have vanished but do not worry, It is a normal part of the procedure, the pigment will start to come back as the skin exfoliates.

Your eyeliner procedure will take up to 6-8 weeks to fully heal. The color may seem faint, this is because a fresh layer of skin has healed over the pigment. Give your eyeliner a few weeks and it will come back and become clearer.

A touch up is always required after 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment when your artist will assess progress and see if you need to change your aftercare routine. We recommend eyeliner touch-ups every 3-4 years.

Bear in mind that clients who choose a softer look, lighter color, or don’t follow the aftercare instructions carefully may require more frequent touch ups

Everyone’s skin retains pigments differently. Some people have their permanent eyeliner fade completely and no one can tell they ever had it. For some people, the pigment will never completely disappear and you will have a light shadow. In general, a permanent eyeliner is considered faded if it hasn’t been touched up for 5 years or if there’s a slight shadow remaining.
